Qiang Feng is an associate research fellow in the School of Journalism and Communication at Shandong University. He worked previously in the School of Journalism and Communication at Wuhan University as a lecturer and postdoctoral fellow. Before that, he earned her PhD degree of communication studies from Wuhan University in 2014. From August 2019, he went to the department of Communication Arts at University Wisconsin-Madison for one-year exchange as a visiting scholar. His research interests include Chinese journalism, new media & society and social science research methods. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in journals and conferences such as Chinese Journal of Communication, International Communication Association, Chinese Journal of Journalism &Communication (in Chinese), Journalism Review(in Chinese) and so on. He got the grant from National Social Socience Foundation, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and so on. Now he teaches courses such as Communication Research Methods(for undergraduates and gruduates seperately ), Communication Effects and Audience Studies(for graduates) and so on.
