Di Wu was born in Jinan Shandong in 1984. She obtained Master degree and Ph.D. degree in Communication from Communication University of China in 2016 after she got Bachelor degree in Journalism from Shandong University in 2007. During her Ph.D. period, she went to Duke University for one year as a visiting scholar in 2016.

Besides studying in colleges, she has working experience in Media and Communication industries as a director in Hunan Satellite TV, BTV and Travel Satellite TV.

Her main research concerns focus on political communication and cultural communication. She has participated in research projects and published academic writings，completed the compilation of two books as the chief editor: The Creativity and Plan of Radio & TV Program, Training of Creative Thinking.
