Prof.DAI Yuanchu, Ph.D. in media economics, is currently the executive director of the public opinion research center of Shandong University, a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Journalism and Communication of Shandong University. He is also one of the first batch of special researchers of CCTV Think-tank, an expert of CCTV+ Think-tank, a visiting researcher of the Academy for International Communication of Chinese Culture of Beijing Normal University, a member of Microblog Management Expert Committee of Cyberspace Administration of Beijing, an editorial board member of Global Communication and a consultant of Modern Advertising.


He has been engaged in the researches on the relationship between public opinions and social development in cyberspace for a long time, providing professional data-based public opinion consultancy for decision-making bodies, enterprises and institutions. He has paid close attentions to the convergences of the traditional media and the evolutions of communication methods in the digital era. Also, he has in-depth understandings on cultural industry and branding. He is expert in providing strategic consultation for many national media, as he grasps the trend of media industries under a big picture. His empirical works focus on the international communication effects to support the public opinion guidance. He also keeps providing academic supports to Chinese global communication practices. He has rich work experiences in official media besides his researches, which support him to hold a panoramic view on the run of broadcasting industry under the context of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics.
