Dr. Li Xinren（Ph.D., Shandong University, 2003）has been the professor of the School of Journalism and Communication at Shandong University since 2011. He was the Post-Doctor of Journalism & Communication at Fudan University from 2004 to 2006, the visiting professor of Changwon National University in Korea from 2007 to 2008, the visiting scholar of the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue University in the United States in 2011, the senior research scholar of the Moody College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin in the United States in 2019, and the Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at Leiden University in the Netherlands from 2017 to 2019. He also worked as the deputy director of the editorial office at Shandong Radio and Television from 2013 to 2014. The main areas of his teaching and research are communication theory, new media research, cross-cultural communication and public relations. He undertook some important research projects funded by the ministry of education, as well as some provincial projects. He was selected into the first batch of Shandong University Young Scholars Future Plan. He also won a lot of awards，such as the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Social Science, National Journalism award for Outstanding Academic Achievement of Young Scholars, New promising Scholar Award of Social Science.
