The Student Union and Graduate Union of school of Journalism and Communication won the "Top ten Student Unions" and "Top Ten Graduate Unions" of Shandong University in 2019-2020.

As the permanent representative conference director unit of the Graduate Student Congress of Shandong University,the Graduate Student Union of School of Journalism and Communication establishes presidium, which consists of five departments: Office (Secretariat), Academic Department, Culture and Sports Department, Publicity Department and Employment Liaison Department.

During 2019, the Graduate Student Union got outstanding results in cultural and sports activities. It won the Grand Prize and the Best Conductor Award in the Postgraduate Chorus Competition, themed "Praising seventy years · Striving for our New Era", the second prize in the 16th Postgraduate Cheerleading Contest and the Moral Merit Award. Our debate team "Dahuaji" won the second place in the 7th "Journalism and Communication Cup", National University Online Debate Invitational Competition.

Since the School of Journalism and Communication was established in 2016, the Youth League Committee of the School has guided the Student Union and the Graduate Student Union for nearly four years. They started from scratch and from the initial formation to the gradual improvement. So winning the "Top ten Student Unions" and "Top Ten Graduate Student Unions" at the same time is actually the praise and encouragement for the school's league work. The Youth League Committee of the College will continue to play a leading and exemplary role, guiding the Student Union and the Graduate Student Union to continue to contribute actively. With the purpose of serving the students, the two student unions will keep contributing to the promotion of the all-round development of students and the development of our students' ideological construction, learning practice, cultural life and other aspects.
