On October 25, the Fifth China Cross Cultural Communication Forum, sponsored by the SJC of SDU and co-sponsored by the School of International Journalism and Communication of Beijing Foreign Studies University, was held in Shandong News Hotel. The theme of this forum is "Media Science and Cross-Cultural Innovative Communication". More than 70 experts and scholars coming from Peking University, Zhongshan University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Shandong University and other universities participated in this forum.

This forum managed to deliver a comprehensive and profound interpretation of "Cross-Cultural Communication" from the perspectives of culture, communication, history, etc., which has injected new dynamism into the development of journalism and communication discipline, and also provided a solid theoretical foundation for better inheritance and promotion of Chinese culture and human civilization. What’s more, the 6th China Cross Cultural Communication Forum will be hosted by the School of Journalism and Communication, Sichuan International Studies University.
