YU Zhiyuan received B.Sc. degree in Electronic Information Science and Technology and Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering, from Shandong University, China, in 2013 and 2018, respectively. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor and Master’s Supervisor with the School of Journalism and Communication, Shandong University, Jinan, China.


From Oct. 2012 to Jul. 2013, he was an intern at the Digital Multimedia Technology National Key Lab, Hisense Co. Ltd., Qingdao, China. From Sep. 2016 to Sep. 2017, he was a joint Ph.D. Student at Research Laboratory of Electronics, Department of EECS, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. His research interests include big data analytics for media, information inference, media technology (5G/B5G), and media convergence.


He was awarded China National Scholarship for undergraduate student in 2011 and 2012, China National Scholarship for Ph.D. student in 2017, CSC State Scholarship Fund in 2016, First Prize in Shandong Province of China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling, Honorable Mention of the Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling (ICM), and Outstanding Graduate of Shandong Province in 2013 and 2018, etc.


He is an active reviewer for many IEEE/IET journals and conferences, such as IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Systems Journal, IEEE Access, IET Communications, Electronics Letters, IEEE COMPSAC, IEEE ICC, IEEE VTC. He was named as 2018-19 year Top 1% Peer Reviewer Award in Cross-field by Web of Science Group and Publons, Clarivate Analytics Company.
